Holdings LLC, an affiliate of The Heritage
Group (Heritage) and K Yatırım Enerji Inc.,
an affiliate of Kibar Holding (Kibar) today
announced the establishment of a joint
venture focused on waste (by-product)
management in Turkey. The Parties plan
to establish the joint venture company in
October, 2015.
Forecasts indicate that demand for efficient
and innovative solutions for by-products
processing will increase in the future, which
falls in line with Turkey’s participation in the
Kyoto Protocol. These forecasts align the
Kibar and Heritage joint venture with the EU
standards shaping the nation’s environmental
targets.
The local industrial manufacturing facilities exporting a considerable portion of their product portfolios to
Europe and the U.S. will need to follow protocols and standards in addition to targeting “Zero Landfill” in
their sustainability policies. Only through a well-maintained by-product portfolios Turkish manufacturing
facilities could stay competitive in their respective markets and adhere to the environmental and energy
efficiency targets of Turkey. Kibar and Heritage are well aware of the difficulties in maintaining such an
agenda and intend to ease this process for the Turkish industrial manufacturers with their partnership in
Turkey
The joint venture company will utilize Heritage’s experience and innovative solutions in by-product
management, in conjunction with Kibar’s diversified industrial knowledge, operational excellence, and
local network. By combining these strengths, the joint venture company intends to provide reliable,
tailored, full-service environmental consultancy, and by-product management services to industrial
customers in Turkey. In that respect its immediate customers will be the local Kibar Group facilities. The
joint venture company also intends to research and develop highly safe and reliable systems for largescale
environmental applications for both the public and the private sector.
